About the job
As our new Senior Compliance Analyst, you will, with support from the Compliance Manager, bring a pragmatic and customer-centric approach to the work you complete. You’ll build up your expertise and confidence in what you do and, with guidance, learn how to use your skills to support the business in managing its risks and opportunities in an appropriate and proportionate way.

You will help the Compliance Manager to build and execute the 2nd line Compliance Monitoring Plan and support the provision of regulatory advice, guidance and training. This will enable you to work directly with people both within the Intelligent Lending business and group companies.
The Senior Compliance Analyst role will be varied, which as well as seeing you assist in facilitating effective 2nd line Compliance activity, will also involve you educating and supporting the business in terms of its regulatory obligations and strategic goals. To achieve all of this, you will need to exhibit an excellent ability to prioritise, manage and communicate effectively within a diverse and fast paced environment.
The successful candidate will support the organisation through change, evolution, and sustained growth. You will work alongside an experienced Compliance Manager and a Risk and Compliance team focused on delivering agreed targets.
What you’ll be doing for us
A day in the life of this role could look like…
- Design/produce Conduct MI and Committee pack information.
- Provide accurate regulatory guidance to business areas
- Assist in the production of the 2nd line Compliance Monitoring Plan and deliver reviews in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Review of key business projects and changes
- Contributing to the completion of regulatory returns
- Assessing the regulatory impacts of risks and issues
- Conducting horizon scanning of regulatory changes and communicating to the business in both written and verbal formats
With support, and as directed:
- Support the Compliance Manager in the delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan to ensure effective oversight of 1st line activities.
- Together with the Compliance Manager, act as the Regulatory SME for Issues Management, with responsibility for supporting the business with high severity issues and overseeing the business management of mid-low severity issues.
- Provide regulatory guidance and advice for change initiatives/projects.
Skills-wise, you’ll need:
- Experience of working in a Compliance role in an FCA regulated business is essential
- An understanding and awareness of key FCA regulation, with specific knowledge of MCOB and CONC an advantage
- A good level of understanding of conduct risk, particularly in the delivery of fair customer outcomes.
- An understanding of key GDPR regulations and ICO guidance
- A tenacious approach to your work.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels.
- Stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret and use data, analytics and MI for decision making and reporting.
- Independent, self-starter and comfortable working independently.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

- Have or be working towards a professional qualification in Compliance
- Practical experience of consumer unsecured and secured lending
