As our new Senior UX Designer, you’ll bring creative leadership and cultivate a culture of challenging the norm to work with you, day in, day out. You’ll be an expert at what you do and know exactly how to use your skills to create the best customer experiences in finance.

This is a new position for an energetic, passionate, and analytical Senior UX Designer to join our team. You will help build and execute the existing strategy focused on designing from data and research insights. You will need to exhibit an excellent ability to prioritize and manage your workload.
Showcasing your knowledge of multiple design methods and principles and how to apply them and expertise in running sessions, workshops and presenting, focusing on clear communication, this new challenge will be the perfect opportunity to lend your technical expertise to oversee a passionate team of Designers, developing yourself and others and working alongside some of the best and brightest talent in the industry! You are naturally customer-centric and thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical, business and communication skills. You will be reporting to the head of design & UX.
What you’ll be doing for us
- A day in the life of this role could look like…
Solving problems through an insight-led, lean UX process.
- Using multiple methods and techniques to generate design solutions.
- Connecting with and understanding the needs of the user.
- Defining and uncovering the correct problems through relevant questioning.
- Working with stakeholders to gather and understand design requirements.
- Sharing and articulating design decisions with stakeholders.
- Planning work across all phases of design using a structured approach.
- Collaborating with researchers to deliver informed design solutions.
- Designing and overseeing usability testing processes, utilising both quant/qual methodologies
- Collaborating with developers on solutions and design handovers.
- Promoting and driving a user-centric approach within the product lifecycle.
- Supporting other designers with larger business projects.
- Taking ownership of key objectives including personal growth & development.
- Promoting the importance of brand design consistency across every touch point.
- Create, maintain a unique and cohesive brand design system.
- Reviewing designs generated by others to ensure consistency and quality.
- Inspire and motivate other team members providing guidance and mentorship.
- Influencing and shaping product roadmaps and key deliverables.
- Steering and supporting strategic business initiatives that align with company objectives.
- Owning, championing, and shaping improvements to UX, their tools & processes.
Skills-wise, you’ll definitely:
Working directly with the Head of Design and other team members, the candidate will be expected to:
- Proven experience working in a similar role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a UX role.
- Knowledge of multiple design methods and principles and how to apply them.
- Demonstrate expertise in running sessions, workshops, presenting, and clear communication.
- Experience in working with qualitative and quantitative data.
- Experience in taking data through from discovery to design solutions.
- Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation.
- Experience managing people and workflows.
- Demonstrate ability to influence department and business strategies.
- Knowledge of Lean and Agile ways of working in multi-disciplinary squads
- Experience managing people and workflows
- Experience using design & prototyping tools such as Adobe CC, Sketch, figma,
- Experience using research and insight tools such as UserZoom
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in UX Design, Product Design, HCI, or similar
